WARNING: Explicit Content

So here at BYU there a many um...interesting... people. And as such, there a many quality conversations and sayings heard around campus. Take these two experiences for example:
Me: So I'm just walking to work minding my own business when I hear this guy and girl behind me start talking about necking and petting which, in and of itself is hilarious. but it gets better. So they're trying to determine what these and I quote "prehistoric" terms mean when they get to necking.
Girl: "Well I'm pretty sure necking is just like kissing on the neck and giving hickies and stuff."
Guy: "No, I don't think that's it."
Girl: "Then what do you think it is?"
Guy (being completely serious): "I'm pretty sure its when you like rub necks together."
BAHAHAHAHAHA!

So of course I tell Parker about this, and then later that day when I get home Parker attacks me and starts making moaning noises while he's awkwardly rubbing his neck on me. I'm like what the crap are you doing?! His response: I'm necking.

Parker: He goes into the men's restroom where there's a man on the phone to his wife.
Man: "Okay honey I've got to go tinkle, bye bye."
Yes, a grown man said that.

Anywho, just wanted everyone else to experience the good times we get to have here at the Y!

and so the holiday festivities begin...

Well it's been a busy busy couple of months! I taught second grade for a month and loved it. Although with my patience level, after four weeks I had pretty much reached my limit in a second grade classroom. I loved the kids though. So funny. Out of control, but funny. My favorite quote of the experience: (teaching a vocab lesson) Who knows what government means? Response: "Oh I do! It's the people who take all your money." Haha. Classic. Also, I taught at Midway Elementary. Midway is a little rural town up the Provo Canyon. The school mascot was a wrangler (a cowboy) and on Monday's they sang the national anthem along with an Alabama rendition blaring over the pa system. It was great :) Since we're not allowed to post pictures of us with the kids on the internet here's a pic of the cake they had for us at our cute little going away party. It was funny my mentor teacher was like sorry, apparently the cake decorator was an 80 year old woman with arthritis. ]
Thanksgiving break was good. Came and went like nodbody's business, but it was good. We went up to Ogden and spent it with my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. It was filled with the classic delicious stomach stuffing. Parker made the observation that he was the only one to get seconds. ha. No surprise there, with his five stomachs and all. The women (sick i hate being called a woman) made these cute centerpieces. The whole process was filled with "Why are we doing crafts?" "Whose idea was this?" "I hate crafts" "We are NOT a crafty family". But we all finished and I think they turned out way good. Kudos to grandma and Pauli for getting everything together for them.

The day after Thanksgiving I somehow convinced Parker to brave shopping with me. Let me tell you he loves shopping ;) He is the best. Not only did I convince him to come with me, but he also let me indulge in buying numerous Christmas decorations. AND he let me buy him a new sweater. But pretend like you didn't hear that because it's going to be a Christmas present. Here's our tree we got. Awww, our first Christmas tree. We just got some balls (insert snicker here) to decorate it. I'm still on the lookout for a topper.
yep, i'm a fake tree kinda girl

Now we just have to get through these next couple weeks of Hell: final projects, papers, and then finals. But then will come a much needed, homework free break (forever for Parker cuz he's done)! Can't wait!

Oh, also Parker's cousin Peyton took some pictures of us a few weeks ago when she was doing his other sister's family christmas pics. She's great.
Yep, that's my husband.

And also, also our nephew Carter turned 1 last month and Ashley had a fun little party for him (that's when Peyton took our pics). The onsie he's wearing is what I got him haha.
What a cutie!
I lova da babies!
