Because I wasn't able to fly out to Utah for my cousin's wedding in March (boo real jobs ;) ) I changed my trip and went out during Spring Break. Which was so nice considering I have not had a one in long time because you don't get one at BYU. Anywho, it worked out so wonderfully because I happened to be there the weekend my sister got home from Spain. It was so fun getting to see some family and friends in Utah! It didn't really seem like I was visiting though so when it was time to come home I was like oh. yeah. I'm not from here anymore haha. But then I came home to Parker and flowers and I realized I have a wonderful home and life it's great. And a puppy. Can't forget her.

Spring here has been great. The weather has been fabulous, although I say that tentatively because I don't think the humidity has fully hit yet. We have been able to spend a lot of time in our backyard and have been bbq-ing it up. And we got a patio set so we can have friends over and stuff :)
Oh yeah, we also planted a garden! We had to build little fences around our boxes because we have a little pest who likes to dig up the dirt in them, but so far it has been growing great. We planted tomatoes, peppers and some Thai basil. The only thing I care about is the tomatoes. When we planted them in mid April I had a hard time registering I would have to wait until June until we actually see any of our crop. Being patient is not my forte. I am planning on having a tomato sandwich every day this summer.
In other news- I had a birthday, shout hurray. I am still a little embarassed when people at work and church ask me how old I am and I tell them 22 and they're just like oh wow you're so young. yes, yes I am- what do you say? Parker's sister and her family moved back here for the summer and so she was sweet and made me a birthday dinner and cake and had a little get together for me at their parents. There was lots of chocolate and icecream, what more could I ask for? Parker got me a waffle maker! Which may sound not so exciting to ya'll reading this, but I have been wanting one for a long time. So we had a yummy waffle breakfast the next day and oh let me just tell you, I love waffles.
| we may have had a little difficulty figuring out how much batter to put in.... |
That's right- waffle brownies!! I kept seeing them on Rachel Ray and wanted to make them sooo bad. Alright, so I"ll admit they got a little (or a lot) burnt, but they will perfect next time.
You will be glad to hear that I'm done with my rambling for today. The end.
